The Ceremony Location

Our ceremony will be held on an island in a city park. I chose this place because of the beautiful stone bridge that crosses onto the island, I envisioned my wedding party as they crossed over the bridge that would be decorated with rose petals and hurricane candles.
The arbor would be decorated with white draping fabric and hanging candles. We would walk down the aisle that would be lined with paper lanterns on shepherds hooks.

The grass area is large enough to hold well over two hundred people comfortably. I knew this would be the perfect place. And being the budget minded person that I am, I took it right away when I found out it did not cost anything to reserve. SCORE!! I even reserved a room in their convention building for $22/three hours.

If you are looking for an inexpensive outdoor venue for your wedding, I would definitely check out your city and state parks. Most parks do not charge a fee. Check with any colleges or universities nearby, they usually have great landscaped areas that may work for an outdoor ceremony. You can also check out their chapels if you prefer a church and they are usually non-denominational. Our local university has a cute little chapel perfect for small ceremonies.
